In today’s modern world, our youth has perceived the world through video games and digital media. We take this concept to tap into students' minds by allowing them to look behind the curtain of gaming to understand what it takes to create the things that excite them.
Ludo Learning is a youth program that facilitates skills development for teens through concentrated weekend pop-up camps focused around building games. Game development is one of the most multidisciplinary professional fields that requires various skills ranging from project management and software engineering, to the arts, music, creative writing, and design. By engaging students with the experience of building games, they will learn and discover skills that easily translate to a wide variety of other fields outside of the game industry, and gain insights they can take into decisions about what they want to do with their future.
Ludo Learning is different in our approach of teaching students new skills, not just for them to learn game development but to use the motivation towards games to expand their perspective about their own interests and talents. By pairing experts and professional developers with credentialed educators, we provide students with a structured learning environment that is engaged by stories about solving problems in real world development. Our goal isn’t to encourage all of our students to become professional game developers, but rather to simulate a professional environment that introduces students to applying creative problem solving using skills they would have developed from their primary education.
